I was thinking Runlevel Configuration Directory. But I think bashrc, say, is bash resource configuration, though I think it's open to debate. Kind of like 'f'vwm and 't'wm. Or where the 'n' in 'umount' went or why Ritchie spelled 'create' without an 'e'. Who knows? It's where the startup scripts live. :)

I thought it was Runlevel Configuration but I do believe someone brought up the history of it and it stands for 'run commands' I do like Runlevel Configuration myself... sounds better. |
