Hello all. I am a complete newbie and I am really eager to get my hands on Linux. My question is what is the *best* distro for a newbie? I need a easy, GUI based install, because I had a hard time installing Mandrake.
There are a huge number of threads which discuss this question on the boards already. I would suggest you use the Search function and also check out our Reviews section. Ultimately though, the best distro is whichever one you feel is best - the only way to find out is to download a few and test them.
