Exclamation What are the steps to change the default permissions of the whole file system


Hi every one, i really want some help about this, my questions is how can i be able to change the default permissions for all files i make.. in other words, how to change the default permissions permanently without the need of changing them individually.. even if i halted the system i want my new file permissions to be saved.. i really hope that i made it clear. thanks a lot and help shall be appreciated..

Hello,

If your looking to set default permissions to files and directories you create then look into umask
Code:
man umask
This explains it a little bit: Understanding umask
