I am a big fan of Firesign Theatre, so I named them after some character except the Linux machine which I have only had for a few days.

NickDanger ~ file server
RockyRococo ~ desktop
RodFlash ~ iso backup storage
JohnQSmith ~ desktop for friends
PorgyTyrebiter ~ print server
UkifaHeap ~ mail/webserver
Shickellgrubber ~ the new desktop
HemlockStones ~ debugger/sniffer
Red1~ the redhat machine

Give me immortality or give me death

I called mine 'tori'.

I'm fairly new to Linux, so my first attempt at
changing the name from localhost was pretty
funny - more [ Failed ] messages on boot-up
than you could shake a stick at.

Just saw this thread so I spose i'll post my hostnames

Win98 = Dizzy - As in Dizzy Devil cartoon character from Animaniacs...

Slack = Slack - Do I really need to explain this one? It was Taz at one point in which it may go back to.

I'm a huge tazmanian devil cartoon characters fan obviously!
