what's your favourate window system?

I've been thinking about the best window system for me to use.

Asking "which is the best?" is likely to open up a can of worms, so I'm interested to know which is your favourate and why?

My favourate window system at the moment has got to be Fluxbox.

If you're anything like me then you're proberly using an old PC that finds it difficult to take the strain of opening a 30MB PDF, hence I love Fluxbox for it's look, performance and my favourate part is proberly the name.

Best of all, it's one of the window managers that uses the least system resources (I stress "one of them")

I personally like KDE for the look, though I don't tend to use it unless I'm just casually messing about with whatever has my interest (currently learning PHP).

So please provide some feedback and let me know.

Thanks for reading !

You know, Fluxbox isn't really a Window System, it's a Window Manager ...

I started out on Gnome, it was ok, but customising wasn't very satisfying, i moved to Fluxbox cause it didn't look too bad, and was quick. Now i'm on KDE, it looks purdy, i like alot of Kapps. Lots of customising and isn't much more sluggish than Gnome (512 Ram)

I realise Gnome/KDE are different to Fluxbox, but the scope of your question covered both

Since we are right in the middle of the official polls and there is a poll about this, I'm closing this thread. All discussion on this issue should really be directed to the thread that accompanies the award.
