wget is not working

Hi!

What does the following error mean?

Code:
[root@uk ~]# wget --help
Bus error (core dumped)
[root@uk ~]# wget --version
Bus error (core dumped)

I did some googling and found some integer issue and some other stuffs too but could not figure out why it is happening on my production server.

Some more information on the package installed:

Code:
[root@uk ~]# rpm -qa | grep -i wget
wget-1.12-2.fc12.x86_64

Are you seriously running Fedora 12 as a production server? This is a Really Bad Idea, if you want to use Fedora as a server platform then you need to refresh the OS at the latest when N+2 arrives - your server hasn't had an update since 2010!

In regard to your issue, have you tried verifying the package?
Code:
rpm -V wget

How much free ram do you have?
Bus error is usually a RAM problem such as full RAM, bad RAM or a bug in software.
