wget command

I need help with the wget command.

When I type "wget -r -level=1 news.bbc.co.uk", it downloads things just fine, except for the pictures. None of the pictures show up when I view the locally downloaded webpage. I looked at the "wget --help" but I did not see anything to specify that actual files (in this case, picture files) should be downloaded. It seems to be ignoring the picture files. Thanks if you can help me.
