Weird partition issue

It's the first time this has happened to me.I just installed redhat 7.3 on my new pc which had windows 2000 installed on it.I can boot the two OS's,everything is fine except that windows 2000 is aware of my ext3 paritions, they show up like anformated partitions with the posibility to format them, which i did once, hence, destroying the linux instalation.
Used boot loader is GRUB.

right, well i would *guess* that the ext3 partitions are still actaully defined as vfat or whatever in the FAT try using fdisk or cfdisk to check the partition type, correcting it if you need to.
