webmin question

I have a newly installed webmin package on a RH 5.x system.
I installed on an Ubuntu systemand it works fine (yes I know there are different files)

When i try to get to the www page from my laptop. I have not tried the console yet as it is remote to me. page cannot be displayed.i get this for the usermin too.

I tried :

http or https://ip:10000 and 20000 and I still get page cannot be displayed.

I check the logs:

tail /var/webmin/miniserv.error
[01/Oct/2009:15:43:09 -0400] miniserv.pl started

What is is complaining about and how do I fix it?
Is this related to my page cannot be displayed error?

Quick update... I went to the console and http://localhost:10000 works. So that tells me its running on the system. The firewall is allowing the port to be passed. Had them check this before I posted.

i checked the webmin configuration on the console and it allows connection from all IP addresses. so I am wondering why it is still failing.

I saw on a few hits in search this is what people said to check but it appears to allow this.

I looked at the /var/webmin/miniserv.log file and nothing gets put in there from the attempt. Out FW people can see the request being passed but thing seems to come back from the webmin server.

I can get to it via http://localhost:10000 on the console as stated above. So I know it is up and running.

i still cannot connect remotely to this app. I verified with my network guys that the traffic is going out to the ip and and port.

i checked the log but there is nothing that looks like it is even attempting to answer the request.

so i finally got around to checking this again. I dont think this is a FW rule issue. I went to a machine on the same network as this one and tried to connect to the port. I get page cannot be found still..

I stopped and started the process have not made any configuration changes just vanilla install.

Thoughts?
