Webmin freezes

Hi All,
Hope this hasn't been asked before. I have webmin installed on one of my test machines, and every time I log into it https://localhost:10000, it freezes. In fact it freezes before it even asks me for the username and password. It will stay frozen for at least 10 hours as well (yes, I left it like that for that long). Oddly enough when I don't use ssl, it seems to behave. I get the feeling it is a problem with either certificates or SSL. Any ideas?

Thanks,
C:\Mark

I recall a post on another board's forum a couple of years ago which stated that port 10000 was not stable or secure or some such thing. The recommended fix was to edit a config somewhere in /etc to change that to localhost:1000 instead of localhost:10000. It also recommended the addition of a line to listen for port 1000 if that line was not in the config file. I made the recommended changes in the distro I was using at that time, and never had a problem with Webmin freeze-up.
