Webalizer error: can't open log file

Hello

I have a Redhat ES 4 with Apache 2.2.6 compiled.
Webalizer is also compiled V2.01-10.
Webalizer has been working until recently.
The log says: Can't open log file /wwwroot/logs/access_log
The permissions are fine, it's just seems the log file size is too big.
It seems b/c the access-Log file is over 2 GB, webalizer cannot process it.
If apache is compiled, then do I need to manually setup a log rotate via cron job?

I wouldn't want to try and read from a 2GB file so I'm sure webalizer doesn't want to. I'd say setup logrotate. If you want to keep them around for archiving purposes, compress and move them out of the way as well.

And logrotate should already be setup or installed. Check /etc/logrotate.conf and /etc/logrotate.d/ for the scripts to add apache logs to the rotation.
