Can someone please point me in the right direction, please.

At work, we have a VPN server (I do not know what kind) and at home we can connect to it via the windows VPN client. Since switching to Linux, the only solution I've found is to run a VMWare server with Windows on it, but now I'm starting to wonder in a client exist for Linux that would be able to do what the windows client does?

I run Mandriva 2007 Free Edition and am a newbie. Help please.

As far as I know, at work, the servers run Windows 2003 server edition, in case that helps in any way.

It depends what the server is - IPSec? SSL/TLS? OpenVPN? PPTP? L2TP? MPVPN?

That will play a large role in what client options you have :)

If you're using the Windows VPN client in the Network Connections folder, and your VPN server is Windows 2k3, then you are most likey using Microsoft PPTP for VPN.
