Volume settings issue...Moderators I need your help

Hi everyone...

Well I had posted my problem on the software section a day back. I am sorry to post this question again on general, as even after 50 views, my problem remains unanswered. Help me solve this one DavidPhillips, trickykid and unSpawn ...

Whenever I log-in to linux as root or a normal user, the Gnome volume control settings go back to the default system settings...I have also used aumix and kmix from the console as well as from GUI and try to save settings from there, but it dosent help either....

Now how do i save my own volume settings? I have RH 9 with GNOME...

thanks....

Please reread the rules you agreed to when registering. http://www.linuxquestions.og/rules.php
It states to not to post your question in more than one forum, as this is considered to be double posting.

You can reply to this question here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=98001

In the future, please feel free to bump your thread after a day or so without any responses. If your getting responses like your other thread has, keep the discussion in the ongoing thread. Also please do not ask assistance from members, moderators or the such by name for help. Anyone here can help and you shouldn't put anyone on the spot by asking for their help.

This is a free forum, free for anyone to post a question and answer. Other members come in their free time to answer others. Be considerate and realize that your question can go unanswered. We have alot of members and we have lots of traffic, just be patient when asking questions and waiting for a response.

Regards.
