VNC + X11 font size increase
i am able to change the font sizes for an xterm windows
AFTER i load up gnome-window manager. (linux RH8) changing ~/.Xresources "fixed -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--15-140-75-75-c-90-iso8859-1" ie. from 8x13 to 9x15 size thus all new xterms are in 9x15 size. but the problem is that when i am in the basic environment. X11 with TWM as the window manager... all windows are defaulted back to 8x13. i can still SHIT+[keypad+] or use the command "xterm -fn 9x15 &" however i cant get it to start up by default. (I hope to also change the default font style soon afer) (i can get into the UNIX like environment (grey background with X11) via VNC) IT IS ASIF.... neither ~/.Xresources NOR /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/fonts.alias is loaded up at all.. even my alias inside .bashrc doesn't load up. i've used links... using links.. http://www.netspace.net.au/~bmiller/linux/Xfonts.html and http://www.grin.net/~mirthles/pile/c...font_size.html |
