I have installed various Linux distros in VMWare Server on an XP box. I have 1 meg broadband which my XP connects to through an ASDL Router. The network speeds inside the vms are really really slow, less than 10kb/s.
The VM is connected to host PC with Bridged Networking. I have just read that forum post from jeenam - but it doesn't actually explain what I should do to change my settings.
The problem is the VMware network adapter on the VM. Read around and you'll discover that the VMware network adapter is a 10mbit virtual device, hence the slower than expected speeds.
