Virtualization Which distro? Vmware or Xen ?

I am trying to decide how to virtualize servers at work. I want to run a linux box for the server console, and use it to host windows servers ie (doman controller, wsus, network monitoring ect.) I am planing on an hp dl360 to start with 4 gig of ram.
1. What distro? Centos, debian, or slackware?
2. Xen or Vmware?

Thanks.

I'd use CentOS 5 with Xen

Any of those combinations will work. There's no real benefit to Xen when running Window$ as guest, because paravisualization is gonna be off. I would recommend Debian or Slackware. And for VM, kvm is also decent if you want to try it.
