Video problems.....OpenGL/Glide

hey there,
I am having some trouble with getting OpenGL/Glide up this time around. i am running Stack 8.0. I have a Voodoo3, I don't know if i am installing mesa right or if i am not doing something right in my config file(XF86). the error i get is
gd error (glide): gd error (glide): fgSstSelect: non-existent SSTgd error (glide): grSstSelect: non-existent SSTReceived signal 11

if anyone could help me that would be great

you should probably have the open gl 3.7 installed... sometimes mesa doesn't work too well. are you using the tdfx driver?

I am using the tdfx driver. Is there anything else especially i need to have in my config file that i might be missing? For Mesa i mean. i do have Load "glx"
Load "dri"
Well thans for the help, i will check into that open gl thing.

sounds like you've got the XF86Config file taken care of. the error you're getting isn't the kind i've seen before with bad X configs. they tend to be different. what you're getting is a signal 11 - that almost always signifies a problem with the hardware. it's probably a problem between mesa and the card. do you have the glut demo progs? if they work ok, then it's definitely a problem with the mesa install.
