Video editing on Linux, any distro
Are there any programs for any version of linux ou there that support video editing? And if so, would it be timeworthy to see if it worked better than on a PC or mAC? Also, take the poll on which distro you think would support editing video the best. Not your favorite!
there are a number of apps such as film gimp and cinerella, but they are not wuite up to the standard of some windows applications.
your poll.... this question is irrelevant of the distribution you are using except in very extreme cases. and you seem to have put Unix down there, are you at all aware of what Unix and Linux actually are in terms of one another?

Yeah i thought putting unix down would spark some controversy. I appologize for that one. But besides that, How are those programs? And are do they come with any type of support?

Looks like 20,000 users strong is quite a bit of support
Yeah, they've got documentation if that's what you mean... What are you looking for? How much editing? How intense? How professional? What kind of video?

I appologize for the unix thing, i know linux is a *nix OS. DOnt get me wrong on that one. I think we can let that one go. But i want to use my machine for editing primarily college assigments and some professional stuff as well. I dont like macs to much but i am not that picky. I want to know if anyone reccomends using a *nix machine for, i guess i can say graphics. I know that sounds strange but i love using linux.
