Very quiet sound
 

Hi, I recently installed Mandrake 10, it's my first time using Linux and it hasn't exactly been problem free, but everything now seems to be working (more or less)
The sound is very quiet when playing MP3s or streaming as well as a few other things, the weird thing is, when i play a CD, it's normal volume.
I'm using an MSI 6380E motherboard with built in sound with ALSA "snd-via82xx" driver.
Anyone have any suggestions?"

Try running 'alsamixer' as root and adjust the settings

Does nothing, all volume controls are already set to max
