Question VCDs crashes my machine

Hi I have a bunch of VCDs and I can play them very well using mplayer. However, when it is done, sometimes my machine just freezes -- indefinitely. the caps lock and scroll lock blink on and off, and my mouse stops responding and the only thing to do is to reboot manually. This situation sucks.
Any help????
Thank you so much!

There are a couple of programs that will play VCD's I think.

They are ogle and xine. One of them does for sure and I think it is xine though they probably both can. There homepages are easy to find on the web. Maybe you could try one of those.
