using Stty to change serial port settings


I am trying to connect a serial device called gagetalker to serial port com1 , i need to change the parameters of the serial port
requirement of the device is
speed 9600
datalenght 7
stopbit 2
parity 0
dtr 1
rts 0

can anyone guide me to do this ,

the stty options are confusing and i am not able to understand.

Hi,

use minicom if you don't feel at ease with that
run minicom, and at prompt, type Ctrl+A (If I remember correctly... otherwise it's written at the bottom of the page) to enter a menu, and then it's "o" to enter config menu
