Using Linux to share and aggregate media around the house.

I was thinking with all the Internet boxes for TVs this year, why not have one of my own? I already have my Wii streaming stuff from the PC in the living room, but what about my bedroom?

Problem: None of the current solutions(Apple TV, Google TV, Roku) tailor to my needs, except Boxee. But, the Boxee Box is a tad much price wise, and doesn't have the most stellar performance.

I'd like something tiny that is reliable, can talk to wherever my media is stored, and has a few extras, mainly a Web Browser, and a BitTorrent client(With my Wii, I handle getting new content on the PC, so with this box, I'd rather have it more PC-like.). Any suggestions, or setups you have done/ heard about? Also, don't be afraid to tell me about hacks for any of the previously mentioned "current solutions"?

Can't really go wrong with XBMC running on an Atom Mini-ITX machine. Or check out the Nvidia ION platform.
