using google to search LQ

i know this might sound like a dumb question and i wasn't sure where to post it but would SEARCH TERM in google save LQ search bandwidth or does it just use the search engine in LQ? just curious.

It uses the google search engine so you probably won't get results for the newest threads on the site.
