Maybe try renaming /var/log/journal to /var/log/journal.org

Yes, I've been thinking of doing the repairs from the command line. I can connected to my wifi from command line.

I think I just have to do: yum install gnome package to reinstall gnome. Maybe I should do yum: remove gnome package and then do the install.

I done some looking around and don't see how to reinstall device mapper??

Further comments a will be appreciated.

If you're looking for "device Mapper" because of my post I meant Desktop Manager, I assume that would be GDM but I'm not certain if they use something different with Gnome 3 as I haven't used it enough to know.
If you were looking for device mapper because of me I have to apologize for not being clear enough.
