Using Digital output on a SB Live

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get Linux to use the Digital output of a Sound Blaster Live card.

Winblows uses it, but not Linux. Right now analog out is working, but come on!

I need a home theatre system that is perfect

Along with the emu10k1 drivers, get the emutools too. It has a few tools for configuring the card for digital/analog out, AC3 etc.

it's a shame my SB Live didn't come with the digital output...but oh well, I guess it's ok since the receiver that is connected to my SB live card doesn't have digital input. But does however have 10 surround speakers and a big arse subwoofer!!, woohoo! It's a shame too that my neighboards call complaining all the time about their paintings falling off the walls, hehe...well what people get for making houses and building out of wood...pisshh, there's nothing like brick, , and I don't know how I got to this point in the conversation, but oh well,

You are an odd one

Thanks to everyone!

I was hoping Linux would not have been left from having superior sound.
