Question username problem converting from NT

I am converting an NT Server to a Slackware Server. I have come up to problem that my customer does not want to change email address that were used on the NT Box. For example ( john.smith@customer.com, and d.a.jones@customer.com). Any ideas as to how Slackware will accept these usernames? No idea here.

you don't need to make those the usernames, you can make aliases in sendmail or whatever mta you are going to use that will direct:
user.name@domain.com TO user
