User Permissions

I used to be able to do this with no problem its just been so long I've forgotten alot =P

I have a few users that have access to the web directory for an internal web server at work. All users are apart of the Apache group and the web directory has group read write access.

I have a new user I need to grant read only access to the files but I'm not sure the best way to go about this. since all permissions are set on the group level how what is the best practice to remove write permissions from only a single user.

Don't make the new user part of the Apache group and have the 'others' flag set to readonly

i.e. chmod dir 0775
