Use Vmware to make ADSL work for linux

I got my USB Hamlet HDSL640 ADSL modem on my emulated win98 hosted im my MDK9.
It's simply an USB device to install after all.

Then i got an idea...
how can I bridge this connection to make the host (which is already connected via the provided emulated LAN to the guest system) use the guest connection?

I mean to set Win98 as some kind of proxy or something...
so i could finaly have my kmail working...
I mean , it's an important thing for me...

I don't know if I screw up the whole explination...

I don't think what you are trying to achieve is possible.
You'd have to work the other way around, run Win2K
and MDK in VMWare ...

I take it you tried hard to get your modem to Work in Linux?

Cheers,
Tink

I know win98 sucks,
but there must be a way to make it work as a proxy or similia.
Some kind of awful software... don't know

Anyway you're allright : the other way is quite more easier
