use mondorescue?
 
hi guys

I know I can run mondorescue while the server is up and running is there much impact on server activities/worload? or maybe my server will behave very slow

Depends on where you create the image. If you've got little memory, and one disk, your server will be hammered, and be IO bound on the disk. Same if you've got one network adapter, and you're writing to a network share...your bottleneck will be there.

If you've got enough memory, and are writing the image to a different spindle/controller, you should be fine. But I normally cron those jobs until after working hours, just to be safe.
