I am running 2.2.17 by MK 7.2, and I am curious if it supports USB well. I have an Asus a7v board.

I also need to know where in the file system USB mounted devices show up.

I do believe taht kernel supports USB, something like 2.2.14 and higher or something like that.
For all your usb needs in Linux, I would recommend checking out http://www.linux-usb.org/
