Hi,
I also have a sandisk sddr55 and use Mandrake 8.2. That recognizes the unit under the USB-unit tag in the Mandrake Control Centre - does not work properly in Mandrake 8.1 -, see information below (Sorry, default system language is swedish!):

However, it don't know how to get it working! According to the sandisk homepage, this card reader does not work with Linux. I did notice earlier that the usb support in Mandrake 8.2 is significantly improved compared with 8.1, but apparently, there is a lack of specific drivers.
I made a search on the web and found some interesting links:
http://www.geocrawler.com/mail/msg.p...1987&list=2571
which in turn refers to:
http://www.munton.demon.co.uk/sddr55/sddr55.diff
Now this is where my problem starts: How do I use this diff file in order to adapt my usb-storage driver in Mandrake 8.2 (2.4.18 kernel)??
As you see I am a newbie, ...
Any help is appreciated!
Ralf
