Angry Usb problems??

I haven't been using Linux for very long yet and am just getting used to it.

I use a USB wireless adapter so I can receive internet from the router downstairs.

My internet works fine and so does the USB.

However when I go to use another USB like when Im connectting my digital camera to the computer, the wireless disconnects for a few seconds and then connects back up. It's really irritating! Especially when Im talking to friends on aMSN and I want to use my webcam because my webcam uses a USB device and everytime it connects up, the wireless disconnects which results in aMSN singing out.

I was thinking Linux only allows one USB to be used at a time but both my keyboard and muouse use USB ports and they dont effect my internet.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks alot!

it means there is not enough power to supply all the devices. Are you using a laptop ? I see such problems often with laptop.

Buy a small usb hub which runs of _external_ power and then use it for wireless. Or swap the usb port that you use for keyboard to wireless and try out.
