usb disk problem with 2.6.7 kernel

Computer description:
Asus a7n266-vm (nforce 1 chipset).

i use the same congi file from my 2.6.5 kernel and compile 2.6.7 kernel.....

problem is in 2.6.7 my usb disk won`t work no /dev/sda* when i plug in usb disk (when my slackware 10 is runing). But when i leave usb disk pluged in and reboot machine i have no problem> just mount my /dev/sda1 /mnt/point ....

I`m confused coz with 2.6.5 and 2.5.26 (and all 2.4.2X 2.6.X exclude 2.6.7) i have no problem with my usb disk.

from dmesg get message somethign about usb regestered .... and after timeout ( sometimes somethign about bad IRQ try different IRQ for ACPI or APIC).

sorry guys i do not ahve dmesg log now but if anyone have an idea thx a lot

bye and sorry for my english
