what??? but this post is about me, and it is urgent to me, and if u posted it would be urgent to you, im sorry for the way i feel but that just a bit taking the moderating too far...not letting me use the word urgent.. i have a 30 meg file and back ups on the drive i need to put on disks and i carnt get into my system, its urgent for me. im sorry but i thi8nk that is taking it a bit too far
Nope, nothing is urgent, and many people tend to ignore those who use 'urgent' as you feel you are some way more important than the others here, and that you should be helped first, which isnt the case, as we the browsers decide, not you the poster. That's just the way the internet works.
k, im sorry i overreacted , im just in a real jam at the moment with this , im really stuck ive only been on linux for 2 weeks and have had no problems with it (apart form a folder when missing automaticly) and i put some pretty valuable stuff on it and now i cant back it up or anything please can you help
Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'
?
I dont know of anyone who's managed to fix this. I had it too, and didnt make much progress, so I simply formatted and reinstalled that linux install.
Okay, I don't know if your problem is with KDE or X itself. So, what I want you to do is to download the icewm at http://www.icewm.org put it on a floppy and install it on your computer. Download the source package, not rpm.
Hopefully it will work and you have a place online to back up your stuff.
k i removed my HD and stuck it in a PC with windows XP on...windows detects it but i carnt access it via my computer...any ideas or programs that can help me
