Exclamation CGI Configuration

Hi,

This will sound strange but my host provider doesn't know how to configure the cgi-bin directory in its Linux machine.

When I try to call for a pl script, it gives the 405 Error, where "POST is a method not allowed". If I call directly a cgi from the command line in Internet Explorer, it asks me to download the file...

What must they do? - oh, IMPORTANT: the cgi-bin must be configured also to run C executables ( no extension, as you know ).

Please, someone: Help!

Kind regards,

Rigel_Kent

On a moderator side note, please read this POST regarding your thread title.

And if I were you, I'd find a new host provider if they don't know how to enabled cgi and perl scripts in apache.
