UPS and Linux

Some UPS devices have usdb connction and software so, if the power is missing and the ups power is about to end, this software can turn off the pc "automagically"

what UPS management software there are for Linux? and what UPS devices support?
or what UPS devices supports Linux OS?

(I know a lot of APC devices work with Linux, but I want know if there are software for other devices because the APC ones are quite expensive ups)

I'm running a Belkin UPS at home which comes with monitoring and poweroff software, it also has a web based interface for remote access.

I was just logging in to ask this exact same question.

replying to subscribe to the thread. ;)

edited to ask david_ross: What model Belkin? The cheaper ones don't advertize compatibility with Linux.

I've been using a $40 APC unit that has a usb control connection to the computer along with the apcupsd daemon to shut the system down when necessary. Works fine. For the software, look at http://www.apcupsd.com/ and http://sourceforge.net/projects/apcupsd/ .
