A simple Google search would have told you where LILO is:

Yes, you can upgrade LILO just fine. Be sure to run "/sbin/lilo" as root after you upgrade.

I have upgraded LILO a few times this month, with no problems. In fact, I think I updated it today.

so i just download this: lilo-22.5.7.2.binary.tar.gz

and copy the files and overwrite them on my hdd ?

yes, or you can compile it from source if you want.
