upgrading KDE

I have Mandrake 8.2 installed, which I think has KDE 2.2.2. I also have CDs of RedHat 7.3, which has KDE 3.0.Now how can I upgrade kde 2.2 in my mandrake to kde 3.0 from RedHat CDs?

Probably... but not necessarily. They both use RPM as their default method of installing stuff, and originally Mandrake was an offshoot distro of RH, so they should use the same directory structuring. I would say that possibly the easiest way would be to use Mandy's native UPRMI setup by going into Software Manager and adding the RH7.3 discs as new source.

Hope this helps.
