mail problem
I changed my dns zone on server #1 to point to server #2 and it propgated fine, long ago (first I did a whm copy account from old server to new).
Now I'm not getting any incoming mails yet all the email accounts are there anyway. The cname entry for mail is pointing to the new server (IP) as is cname for www and A entry for domain. This is propagated fine but not sure why mail is not coming in but works outgoing. Also, mx entry points to the domain itself too as it should How can I fix this issue? my dns zone on server #1 pointing to server # is propagated long ago and this is what I have domain NS ns1.domain.com domain NS ns2.domain.com localhost.domain.com A entry domain.com domain A entry pointing to server #2 domain mx 0 domain mail cname domain www cname domain ftp A entry pointing to server #2 TTL's are all 14400 Also, dnsreport was fine and dnsstuff the same. I can send outgoing but incoming nothing. Logs don't show anything incoming , and mail queue in WHM shows nothing either. Also, spam assassin is off, no filters, no fowards, no mx entry changes |
can someone please help me?

mail not working only for one domian?
I have about 15 domains on one server and only one of them has an issue with emails going out/coming in. The dns is fine, domain itself works fine, no email forwarders, filters, mx changes, spam assassin is off. Also, checked webmail (horde), nothing.
/var/log/exim_mainlog shows this 2005-01-03 16:20:31 1ClaYx-0000hD-GX <= user@domain.com H=(mta4.srv.hcvlny.cv.net) [167.206.5.70] P=esmtp S=2824 id=0I9R00L1GI25MU@mta4.srv.hcvlny.cv.net 2005-01-03 16:20:31 1ClaYx-0000hD-GX => /dev/null <user@domain.com> R=central_filter T=**bypassed** 2005-01-03 16:20:31 1ClaYx-0000hD-GX Completed Is this good "bypass"? Not too familiar with the logs. Steps: /scripts/exim4 /scripts/updatenow /scripts/upcp --force I even deleted the zone, readded it again for sake of it. Specs: centos 3.3 cpanel 9.9.9c66 How can I correct this matter? |
unrouteable mail delivery
I am having more mail problems than USPS, FEDEX, UPS put together LOL (joking)
Anyway, for every outgoing mail from my billing system ModernBill I'm getting this error (but it seems to be server side not internally in the software) This is an example: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: user@yahoo.com unrouteable mail domain "yahoo.com" ------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------ Return-path: <sales@mydomain.com> Received: from nobody by server.mydomain.com with local (Exim 4.43) id 1CldbA-0000BT-6F; Mon, 03 Jan 2005 20:35:00 -0500 To: "Customer" <email@yahoo.com> Subject: My Company :: Payment Reminder MIME-Version: 1.0 From: sales@mydomain.com X-Priority: 3 X-Mailer: ModernBill Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="=_3bb3694ed525869bf90bbc1dbb0e9679" Message-ID: <i9rr2c.ar0393@mydomain.com> Date: Mon, 03 Jan 2005 20:35:00 -0500 --=_3bb3694ed525869bf90bbc1dbb0e9679 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit This is happening to all domains regardless yahoo, msn, hotmail, gmail or non-free accounts. It is server wide from my expereince. I have cPanel/WHM. In WHM's tweak settings, I have max emails per domain per hour set to 0 (default unlimited). I have "pop3 prevent floood..." off, "prevent user nobody from sending ...." off. Spam assassin is off too. What else? specs: centos 3.3 cpanel 9.9.9 r-14 exim 4.3.4 |

These are all seperate issues my friend. Pay attention to each one and you will see they have nothing to do with each other

But basically when I see 3 threads by you that basically say "email issues" in the past 2 days, I think they should all go in the same thread to update anyone who reads your threads and might have a solution to your posted problems. If you don't like my actions as a moderator, take it up privately or with the site admin! |

These "email issues" are seperate from each other, different servers. That did not occur to you. If I had the solution I'd post it kindly so without getting defensive my little brethren |

Seriously, you've been warned before. Dont make me close yet another thread. I'm not getting defensive, I'm simply stating if you don't like the moderation done on your threads, take it up privately or with the site admin.. and not publicly. Review the rules once again. |
