sounds cooler than what I do. I deal with inbound customer calls, on a 900 number. The customers are pissed #1 that they are paying almost 3 dollars a minute, #2 that they have a virus and their computer isn't working, and #3 that they were stupid enough to catch a virus. I don't like supporting Windows and supporting products that run on Windows.
i think there's a support group for help-desk technicians that meets every second tuesday in the gym behind the old presbyterian church on main and 3rd. tell them i said 'hi' if you go, and i've been off the wagon for a year now.
We could always start our own gripe board. Everyone I work with here would appreciate it if I could find an outlet for my frustrations other than reading the BOFH and applying his formulas for success.
try dealing with stupid raytheon personnel like i do... it amazes me that these people can build bombs for the government... but yet they always seem to forget their passwords over the weekend.
the disgruntled web site might be a good idea... i should look into that myself.
Sancho, you can check out the BOFH series here: http://bofh.ntk.net/Bastard.html This is not a good thing to be perusing while supporting a first time user on the phone.......
