unmounting USB-Card-Reader

Having mounted my USB card reader (/dev/sdb1) and copied some files with conqueror I get an error when I try to unmount it saying it being still in use. I had made sure that in konqueror no part of the mounted file tree is activated. The only thing for me is to close konqueror - then unmounting works fine. Is there a solution a bit more nifty, something like a command to release the cached part of the file system?

Sounds like a konqueror problem to me. Perhaps konq changes its WD to whatever directory you're browsing, and then doesn't change it back. Have you tried Nautilus (if you have GNOME installed)? Simplest solution: xterm and cp.

Thank you very much for your ideas. As far as I can see konq changes his WD back to other dirs. I definetly will give Nautilus a try - but my problem is that I mostly stick with what I love. So I'm still looking for a solution within konq instead of one around.
