unknown bridge resource :0 assuming transparent

i get that error message when i boot my new kernel. well it's not actually an error is it? but either way, i wanna get rid of it.... this is the first time i've actaully managed to compiled a kernel 2.4.17 utterly from scratch, and it's working, but i get that message, and i don't like it!

alos, the performance doesn't seem all that great. the bzImage is only 760kb, but the 1.1mb defulat 2.4.13mdk kernel oes seem to load gnome faster, 5 to 10 seconds difference. is there anythign that may be causing that? if anyone is lovely and bored, my config file is: http://cakenet.dynu.com/bluecadet-config-2.4.17
