UNIX to linux

Hi,
I am experienced with HPUX and am keen to move into linux, I am considering taking a full time linux role, but am concerned with my experience. I would like to get some certification with LINUX can anyone point me in the right direction? I have built a Redhat workstation and have had not real problems.
I would like to know what is the best book if you are coming from a UNIX background. I need a UNIX(HPUX) to linux guide?
Can anyone help

Regards

Robert

Don't know that there is one , HPUX to Linux guide. I started out working on HP 1000s then moved to Tektronix and finally to RH 5.4 on a 486 pc all by trial and error but all in the same company. There is of course the RHCE certificate.

Unless an employer wants a particular peice of paper most *Nixs are close enough that you can migrate between them and unique enough to require hands on experience, mainly in the System Admin area, as a user I doubt if you would notice the difference, and the same can be said for the various distributions of Linux.

If you've had SA experience in HPUX you should have minimal trouble migrating to Linux at worst you might need to read a man page or several - have fun
