Unix / Linux gtk/gdk compataibilty

I need to develop a solaris/sparc app over the next few months, and i wanna use gtk/gdk left right and centre. Unsurprisingly, i'm sitting here at home on a linux x86 box, and would rather develop it in my room, rather than in an empty warehouse of a lab. I need to find out if there are any known compatability problems between the two systems, wrt gtk/gdk. Obviously the hardware is notably different, but that's fair enough. Anyone know of any just reason why my app might work fine under mandrake, but be useless on a sparc station?

nothing I know of but solaris doesnt do ld.so, so youve gotta set the ld_library_thingie var for libs
