Uninstall GRUB(2?) from Grub Rescue prompt.
I had lubuntu(11.10) but I'm moving to a new computer so I thought I'd do some experimenting on my computer(I don't keep any important stuff on it its all on a different one) so while on the path to installing FreeDOS withought distroying xp I formatted the drive Linux was on (I have two hard drives: one for windows and one for whatever I want; excluding windows no os has managed to stay on my system longer than a month, I get tired of it and remove it.)
Then GRUB came up sayn' Cant find drive: supercalifragalisticexpelalidoshous grub rescue> So is there a way to remove it from there or should I just repeat a past accsedent and install GAG over it? Thanks. PS Is FreeDOS Linuxy enough to be on these forums? It is free after all. |
You will have to install another boot-loader to overrwrite the MBR code.
