hi, i want to understand the basic thing about directory structure in redhat. how it is organised and what is the function of each main directory such as /sbin /dev /etc and others.
In the future, you will probably find http://www.google.com to be an excellent resource for questions like this one (which isn't to say you can't use the forum).

Cool
No prob. Thanks to the person who cooked them up, they're the studette (or stud, 'Darcy' is potentially androgynous.) Anyway, there are a couple other docs on that side under the same 'files' directory including a vi ref, command ref, slack ref and a few others.
I found them looking for ref cards I could freely copy to give away in an upcoming Intro to Linux session I am teaching next week in San Diego for my company's sotware's users group. I was extremely pleased with them despite a few typos and a "intentionally blank" here and there.
It sure beat putting some together myself as I already my work cut out putting together a recommended website list, recommended book list and 36 slide PowerPoint.
