Unable to print from WinXP to my Linux-shared printer

I'm sharing my Epson C60 printer with my Linux FC2 on '//localhost/epson'
queue. I'm able to print from another FC2 by using 'CUPS / IPP', but
I'm not able to print from a WinXP box.

My '/etc/samba/smb.conf' includes:

--------------------------------
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
printer = raw
browseable = yes
guest ok = no
writable = no
printable = yes
--------------------------------

From my WinXP box, I'm able to see 'epson' printer and browse into the
shared directories. I installed it as a usual networked printer (on
'//192.168.2.110/epson' ('192.168.2.110' is my FC2 IP address), but when
trying to print any document, I get no print (even no error message).

What could I be doing wrong? Thx.

I may be wrong, but you have to install drivers on XP.

I installed previously WinXP drivers but I don't get nor any print neither any error message

Try pointing your XP print queue at http://192.168.2.110:631/printers/epson

Hi.

On WinXP, I installed the printer in 'http://192.168.2.110:631/printers/epson', but when trying to print
a simple document, I get this error message:
---------------------------------------------
The data area passed to a system call is too small
---------------------------------------------

I'm able to browse this webpage: http://192.168.2.110:631/printers/epson (epson on 192.168.2.110 - CUPS v1.1.20).

Perhaps this issue is a Microsoft Windows one. Regards.

I could be wrong, but that sounds an awful lot like a windows/print driver problem on the client side....

Maybe uninstalling the printer (all instances) as well as the drivers and starting from scratch is in order...
