Unable to mount FAT Filesystem
So a bit backround....I've been a linux user for a while with major breaks, but still remember something...
My Windows XP refused to start upon installation of some particular software, but since I have a dual boot of Debian AMD64(Laptop) system I did not worried much abot this one...
I thought I can access windows partitions from Linux, copy importand data from Main Widows Drive & then restore Factory settings with CDs provided with my laptop...
However, when I'm truying to access both windows partitions, it reports the following error:
mount /dev/hda2/ /mnt/win_c -t vfat
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda2
missing codepage or other error
In some cases usefull information is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
My partition table:
Device Boot Id System
/dev/hda1 12 Compaq diagnostics
/dev/hda2 * b W95 FAT32
/dev/hda3 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5 b W95 FAT32
/dev/hda6 82 Swap
/dev/hda7 83 Linux
/dev/hda8 83 Linux
Can anyone help me on this issue ?
Thanks,
Sader
