Hi !
I have a big problem with the mandrake 9.0 installation .
When the hard disk utility must appear on screen , the install freeze .......
On tty03 i have a "<4> Lost interrupt" message .
I have tested all installations but nothing works .

My computer :
MSI KT3 ultra 2
HD1: Maxtor 53073U (30 Go) with Mandrake 8.2 working !
HD2 : Maxtor 5T040H4 (40Go)

Have you checked your HD jumper pins positions?

dont feel bad, i am having the same issue with an install and its not distro-specific. it happens during suse and drake while starting the install. this is a popular problem too. apparently an interrupt isnt assigned to the zip drive casuing hang ups.

doesnt matter whether i try a 60 pin cable, reverse the orders, put the hard drive on its own controller, tried a different cdrom.or any shit like that. only thing that works is to unplug the zip and install but thats not good enough for me. supposedly you can pass the "nodma" command or something similar at boot time. im waiting on a reply somewhere else. i'll keep ya posted.
