unable to find QT install while running: make xconfig

Im trying to recompile the kernel for the first time and I have just extraced everything into /usr/src/linux-2.6.3 but when I try to fun 'make xconfig' I get an Unable to find QT Installation error"

Any suggestions?

find out where qt is installed on your system and do

QTDIR=/path/to/qt_directory make xconfig

or add export QTDIR=/path/to/qt_directory to your .bashrc file

Hmmm, personally I had a lot more success after installing qt-devel.

Your mileage may vary, this is specific to FC1.
